Steven Spielberg (E.T., Schindler's List) will not direct American Sniper and his production company DreamWorks also left the project. The report from Collider.com cites, that what Spielberg envisioned for the film, did not mesh together well with the budget of the project. Too bad Spielberg left this, this type of a movie would be a good challenge for the director, as it is something different than what he has done in recent years. The autobiography of Navy Seal Chris Kyle, who will be played by Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook, The Hangover Trilogy) now has to find a director fast, if they want to make and release the film for a closer date.
